Hello everyone!! My name is Reece Butler and this is my travel blog. Here I talk about water activities you can do in various countries. I like to be unique and stand out, so this blog will mainly highlight activities that require some level of skill to access or see. As a certified scuba diver and whitewater kayak instructor, I’m able to access parts of this planet that are mostly inaccessible to anyone else. The uniqueness of this site is that as an explorer, I don’t just like to take a pretty photo and call it. I prefer experiencing our rivers and oceans by placing myself right in the middle and getting myself first-hand experience.
I recently graduated from the University of Puget Sound with an international business degree and a minor in Spanish. This is also why I have a focus on South America in my posts, as I’m attempting to become fluent in Spanish while getting after these experiences. As someone who was born and raised in Austin, Texas, I feel very lucky to have the chance to experience nature the way I do. Most people who are born into city life typically aren’t as adventurous as I am, so I feel that my combined background allows me to navigate in foreign situations very easily. If I need to get to where I’m going by navigating a city or a countryside, I have experience with everything and I’m excited to put it to the test.
